Wineries for Climate Protection is the first and only specific certification for the wine sector in terms of environmental sustainability.
This certification aims to become an international benchmark in the wine and environmental industry, seeking solutions and best practices for the wineries.
More and more Spanish wineries are joining the Wineries for Climate Protection (WfCP) initiative, a relatively young movement, born in 2011, whose main purpose is to act in response to the new climate reality in the wine sector.
It became an official certification in 2015 and more than 30 wineries are currently certified In the remainder of 2022, 10 more wineries are expected to join.
