At Valdemar, we are firmly convinced that respecting, protecting and caring for our nature represents one of the best contributions we can make to the next generations. A pledge to biodiversity is reflected in this 20-hectare vineyard.

This estate, located at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria mountain range, is like a melting pot of different landscapes representing the essence of the Rioja Alavesa: steep slopes and deep valleys, which combine banks full of native vegetation with stunning rocky outcrops.

In fact, one of the most important initiatives for achieving a sustainable agroecosystem is the diversity of different grape varieties grown in the vineyards. One of the main characteristics of this estate that can be observed on site in the planting of its plots is the low production clones of Tempranillo in goblet, Sauvignon Blanc and Maturana.
