7 wines from Valdemar Estates, rated with more than 92 points by Jeb Dunnuck
One more year, Jeb Dunnuck publishes his renowned Washington State Report. This time the wines tasted were from the 2020 vintage, and seven of our Valdemar Estates have achieved superb scores above 92 points.
In addition, four of them have received 94 points, spectacular ratings for three red wines and one white wine, from different Washington State vineyards.
2020 vintage in Washington State
The 2020 vintage was characterized by a warm year with a somewhat lower than usual harvest. The harvest began the third week of August, and was extended due to wildfires starting in mid-September in Oregon, and grape picking was halted for about 10 days.
Despite this, growers and winemakers in the area said the vintage was spectacular, with dense, aromatic, high-color red wines.
2020 vintage in Valdemar Estates
The tasting of our wines supports the information of the 2020 vintage. Jeb Dunnuck rates them with more than 92 points, and highlights four wines with 94 points, extraordinary ratings.
Two wines from Klipsun Vineyard, one of Walla Walla’s most emblematic vineyards, scored 94 points in their tasting: Klipsun Vineyard Syrah and Klipsun Cabernet Sauvignon (the latter available in our online store).
Another wine rated with more than 94 points is Walla Walla Valley Syrah 2020, with a unique and overwhelming personality. Also available in our online store in its previous vintage, 2019.
And a white wine also sneaks onto the 94-point podium, French Creek Chardonnay 2020.
We are also very proud of the ratings Jeb Dunnuck has awarded our Columbia Valley Chardonnay 2021, with 93 points. And to two spectacular reds, Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 and Blue Mountain Vineyard Syrah 2020.

But that’s not all, Jeb Dunnuck has tasted the next vintages of our Valdemar Estates wines, evaluating them with sensational results.
They are not yet available on the market. We will have to wait a while to enjoy these incredible wines. For the time being, we can enjoy the current vintages and wait for the next ones to arrive.
