On 17 October, the Valdemar family commemorated its 130th anniversary in the world of wine in a privileged setting, the Palacio Gans in Madrid.
The event was attended by a distinguished group of guests including gastronomic specialists, important media, influencers and well-known names such as the designer Vicky Martin Berrocal, Luis Medina and the famous architect Tomás Alía.
The winery shared with its guests its pioneering winemaking trajectory and its latest project in the USA, Valdemar Estates.
Valdemar Estates is the first non-American winery built in the state of Washington, specifically in Walla Walla.
History of the winery and its most emblematic wines
Jesús Martínez Bujanda (president and owner) told the audience about some of the most famous moments of this centenary winery of the Rioja Designation of Origin and presented a selection of its most emblematic wines such as Conde Valdemar Edición Limitada or its spectacular plot wines La Gargantilla or Balcón de Pilatos.
Meanwhile, his daughter Ana explained some of the details of his new American winery Valdemar Estates located in Walla Walla (Washington).

The designer, Vicky Martín Berrocal, oversaw the extraordinary design of the commemorative label for this anniversary.
Vicky shared with the attendees her experience of making her first project for a wine.

The Basque Culinary Center accompanied Valdemar with a spectacular gastronomic proposal. This academic institution, a world pioneer, surprised those present with its extraordinary creations.
