Two worlds come together: Rioja and the U.S.A. A wine designed to inspire. The project is forged between frequent family trips in both directions and the meticulous work of its technical director, who is responsible for merging the experiences of both Rioja and Washington.
An undoubtedly Rioja wine in terms of its raw materials, but full of the audacity, strength and provoking character inherited from our American experience:
- A creative and groundbreaking way of understanding such traditional varieties as Tempranillo, Graciano and Maturana, by infusing them with new nuances challenging the palate.
- An image worthy of the challenge, designed by the same architecture studio which designed our winery in Walla Walla.
- A much lighter and eco-friendly sustainable bottle.
Valdemar Inspiración thus becomes part of the legacy of a family that was born to break the mold and expand frontiers in the world of wine.

Finca del Marquesado is much more than an innovative project. This estate is part of our family history and our vision of wine and the future of agriculture.
Jesús Martínez Bujanda (third generation of the Valdemar family) was always convinced that a special wine should be born from a unique land and that the history of its landscapes and of its people who worked the land should be felt through its flavors.
In 1982, this intuition inspired Jesús to purchase a piece of land full of stone rocks which would make farming more difficult but would likewise lend his wines a distinctive character.
His son encouraged him to embark on this new adventure with the promise to undertake the planting, a challenge that would take him two years to complete.
That plot would be later extended to include many others to become Finca del Marquesado, as it is currently known, with its 187 hectares of land, of which 134 hectares are vineyards.
