At Bodegas Valdemar, we have obtained renewal of the Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection (SWfCP) seal, one of the most demanding certifications in the wine sector in terms of environmental standards. This recognition endorses our ongoing commitment to a responsible, measurable management model that is aligned with current climate challenges.
The renewal of the Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection seal is not an administrative formality, but rather the result of periodic independent audits that evaluate the winery’s performance in key areas such as emissions reduction, energy efficiency, water management, waste treatment, and social and governance sustainability.
Maintaining this certification involves demonstrating real and sustained progress over time. In our case, it is part of a global strategy that we have defined as 360º Sustainability, a cross-cutting model that integrates all areas of the company: vineyard, winery, people, community, and innovation.
A model based on data and continuous improvement
The renewal of the Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection seal certifies that we work with specific indicators and defined objectives. Among the priority areas are:
- Measurement and reduction of carbon footprint (scopes 1 and 2).
- Progressive increase in the use of renewable energies and self-generation through solar panels.
- Optimization of water consumption in production processes.
- Waste reduction and recovery based on circular economy criteria.
- Implementation of eco-design policies for packaging and auxiliary materials.
This approach not only minimizes the environmental impact of our activity, but also strengthens the long-term resilience of the project.

We present our new Sustainability Report
Coinciding with the renewal of the Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection seal, we present the new Valdemar Family Sustainability Report, a document that sets out our strategy, indicators, and lines of action in a structured and transparent manner.
The report reflects how we understand sustainability: as a way of doing business and not as an isolated area. It details:
- The main environmental indicators in terms of emissions, energy, water, and waste.
- The pioneering biodiversity project developed in our vineyards, with measures such as plant cover, ecological corridors, and natural biological control.
- Our commitment to universal accessibility and inclusive wine tourism.
- Food quality and safety policies integrated under international standards.
- Active contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
In addition, the document includes our materiality analysis, identifying priority issues for our stakeholders and aligning our management with environmental, social, and governance criteria.

Sustainability as an ongoing commitment
For Bodegas Valdemar, the renewal of the Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection seal represents external validation of a commitment that has been part of our identity for generations.
With more than 135 years of history and five generations dedicated to wine, we understand that the future of the sector necessarily involves a more responsible, efficient, and transparent wine-making model.
The new Sustainability Report and the renewal of the SWfCP seal consolidate this path and reinforce our commitment to continue advancing in reducing our environmental impact, protecting the territory, and generating value for the community.
We continue to work with a clear conviction: honoring our origins while building the future.
The renewal of the Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection seal and the publication of our new Sustainability Report do not mark an end point, but rather another stage in a process of continuous improvement.
We are aware that environmental and social challenges are evolving, and therefore we maintain an active attitude of constant review, adaptation, and innovation.
We are committed to continuing to measure, improve, and transparently share our progress, convinced that sustainability is not only a corporate responsibility but also an obligation to the region and future generations.
