The release of La Gargantilla Garnacha Blanca 2024 reflects this philosophy: to work with singular grapes that capture the origin and diversity of the Rioja vineyard. Though Garnacha Blanca is not commonly used in single-varietal wines in the region, it is capable of delivering fresh, elegant wines with great aging potential.
La Gargantilla vineyard: a site with true identity
This new white wine is born in La Gargantilla, a vineyard situated at over 600 meters above sea level, where ferruginous soils, a clay texture, and abundant surface stones create an ideal environment for Garnacha Blanca in Rioja.
The climate—marked by strong diurnal temperature shifts and constant wind—encourages slow, balanced ripening, resulting in wines with vibrant acidity, tension, and aromatic complexity.
A limited-edition white wine with freshness and character
Only 4,253 bottles make up the first vintage of La Gargantilla Garnacha Blanca 2024. Thanks to a meticulous and respectful winemaking process, the wine stands out for its expressive profile:
- On the nose: notes of stone fruit, mandarin, linden blossom, and subtle herbal undertones
- On the palate: silky texture, refreshing acidity, and a long, vibrant finish.
