La Gargantilla is one of those vineyards that bestow a distinguishing seal to the wines it produces. In the 1970s, Jesús Martínez Bujanda (third generation) planted this vineyard. Located in the Ocón Valley, its stony soil offsets the nighttime temperature drops by accumulating heat throughout the day, thus favoring the roots’ growth potential.
The altitude of the estate, 680 meters compared to the usual average of 370 meters in the area, allows a good thermal oscillation of the fruit, a guarantee of quality.
